Above & Beyond, or Jono, Tony and Paavo as they are better known to their legions of fans around the world, have been at the forefront of electronic dance music for two decades. Founders of the iconic Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels and hosts of a weekly radio show, that reaches millions of dance lovers every Friday (‘Group Therapy Radio’), the trio have earned two GRAMMY nominations for the anthems ‘Northern Soul’ feat. Richard Bedford and ‘We’re All We Need’ feat. Zoë Johnston. In 2018, the band’s fourth electronic album, Common Ground, debuted at number three on the Official Billboard Album Chart.
Described by UK music bible Q Magazine as “the world’s biggest cult band”, Above & Beyond’s enviable list of sold out shows includes headline performances at historic venues like Madison Square Garden NYC, The Hollywood Bowl, The Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall London, Red Rocks Amphitheater and record-breaking turnouts for their own festival events on LA’s Huntington Beach and at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State.

With house, electro, techno, or dance music as a whole, there’s a specific sweet spot where a tune can just as easily be rinsed on a hazy dancefloor as it can be received like a looping spiritual mantra, bridging a most unique gap between celebration and therapy. Rezident, the project of emerging 26-year-old producer David Roif of Karlsruhe, the city in Germany’s southern Baden-Württemberg state, demonstrates that electronic music best sustains itself when these separate entities interlock. Citing a consistent flow of Deadmau5 which influenced him growing up, and taking notes from progressive canons like Bicep, Rezident’s 2025 is warming up—fast.
Like his counterparts growing up in the technologically-accessible 2010’s, Rezident downloaded various music programs on his Windows PC laptop at the age of 12, eager to concoct his own melodies after hearing a ringtone his sister’s friend composed on her Nokia cellphone. There, he gathered essential production techniques, like layering, streamlining, and learning when to walk away from a track for a while. Today, at points in his intimate but expanding discography, reverberating chords informed by deep house accents whirl in and out, only to have sharp hi-hats and intermittent whooshes sober the ethereality. Such instances mark Rezident’s desire for a more minimal and honest approach to track-producing, one which contrasts from his earlier school of beatmaking, self-described as “commercial,” trusting the project and himself.

Graduated in graphic arts, born in Paris of Spanish origin, Romain Garcia has always drawn from his numerous influences, whether cultural or artistic.
After getting close to Ben Böhmer, who immediately hooks on the soaring style and dancing rhythms of his tracks, Romain and him produced a track that aimed to help people get a bowl of fresh air after the quarantine. That’s how “Cappadocia” was born, the first track of Romain Garcia released on Cercle Records in 2020, already accumulating more than 30 million streams.
His single “White Flag” (+15M streams) , followed by his first EP “Syamo” on Kidding Aside allowed him to be scouted by Anjunadeep who made him their focus for the next 5 years. The french electro press (FG, Tsugi, Libération) gave a warm welcome to the following projects and Romain is now regularly playlisted on american radio Sirius Chill.
Since then, he performed in the biggest clubs in Europe (Printworks / Fuse / T7 …), went on an intense US/Asia tour in 2023-2024 (Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Colorado..). This rose the attention of the French TV that followed him for a year and broadcasted a 90min documentary about his career as a young international DJ ready for his next challenge: the first album.

Influenced from years of loving trance and falling in love with melodic sounds, most recently. Influential artists: Jan Blomqvist, Nora en Pure, Lane 8, Ben Bohmer, Camelphat, Jooris Voorn, Dosem and more. With a Trance upbringing consisting of Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, ATB, Aly & Fila, Above & Beyond, Kristina Sky, Dave Neven and the list goes on and on.
