Skrillex & 12th Planet – Needed Change is a glitch step opera. Reminiscent of Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, Needed Change pits melodic progressive synths with sweet sounding, chopped vocals against utterly mind bending glitch/dub step.
Flinch – World on Fire inspires masses to get out there and grab the world by the balls! Nothing says twisted like a sweet girl’s voice propelling listeners to set the world on fire. With an uplifting core surrounded by glitch and dub step bass, you could almost close your eyes and envision a small bubble of peace surrounded by utter chaos.
Zed feat. Champions – Changes starts off very similar to Armin van Buuren and Gabriel and Dresden – Zocalo. Plucky synths and indie-esque vocals lead you to believe that the song could go anywhere, but being part of a Skrillex release, you’re pretty sure you know where it will end up. And you’d be wrong. A trumbling tech-house weapon, Zed feat. Champion – Changes shows that the Skrillex movement is far more than glitch and dub step.
